MTN FOLK LORE

MTN FOLK LORE is a collection of adornment created by artist, maker, and curator Jo Potter.

About me:

I’m a maker, curator, and collaborator who has been interested in science, art and creativity of all kinds my whole life. My work is informed by symbolism, storytelling and the natural and imaginary worlds (that kind of covers it all, huh?). I employ a variety of techniques and utilize highly considered metals, gemstones, and foraged elements. My studio and gallery are located in a 100+ year old American chestnut clad space next to historic Biltmore Village in Asheville, NC. My creative process is a practice of meditation and intention and every aspect is thoughtfully considered. I create from the heart and hope my curiosity and reverence of the natural and mystical/spiritual/imaginary world connects with your heart too!
